Craft Breweries To Visit In Kittery

Come Stay With Us Once Your Tab Is Paid

Kittery, ME is referred to as “the Gateway to Maine,” as it sits right along the southern border of the state, across the river from Portsmouth, NH. It’s a small town of about 10,000 people with walkable neighborhoods and plenty to see and do.

If you like beer, then you don’t need us to tell you about how popular the craft beer movement has become. Kittery is a great place for those who like sampling suds of all styles! This blog post will highlight three local breweries that are located right here in Kittery and have plenty of options for all tastes!

Definitive Brewing Company

Definitive has a location along U.S. Route 1 in Kittery. Whether you like sours, IPAs, stouts, or something a bit lighter, there are plenty of options on the menu. There are also non-alcoholic options for the designated driver. If you can’t stay long, pick up a four-pack to go!

Woodland Farms Brewery

Dating back to 1895, this was and still is a working dairy farm. A member of the family ownership decided to branch out and brew beer several years back. Don’t worry; you don’t have to drink next to the animals if you don’t want to. The brewery is a separate building. It is also located along U.S. Route 1. There are everyday brands here like Blinky, a New England IPA, and Galaxy, a pale ale. But there are also plenty of seasonal options to try, as well as styles that are particularly striking our fancy at a given time. Be sure to stop back often, as you’ll probably never find the same beer menu twice!

Tributary Brewing Co.

Tributary is located on Shapleigh Road in Kittery. Its name comes from the many winding bodies of water that can be found in and around Kittery. The owners have long been advocates for water conservation, and use only the purest water when brewing. You’ll find several unique styles here, including a Baltic porter, monastique abbey-style ale, and mocha milk stout.
