At the Water Street Inn, for instance, you can easily book multiple rooms, with up to 9 beds located within the 8 rooms. It’s within walking distance to the lovely Kittery Foreside neighborhood, where you can eat, drink and shop till you drop! So many options during the day, while you enjoy the comforts of home with friends and family!

A short stroll over the bridge (and you can even stop for barbecue along the way!) and you are in Portsmouth. Nearby you will find our sister property, The Sailmaker’s House, another charming boutique hotel which is similarly appointed with luxury linens and elegant rooms. There are 10 rooms to choose from, and again, you can book the whole inn for a wedding party or special occasion. We are well-located to all of the shops and restaurants that downtown Portsmouth has to offer, as well as close to Strawbery Banke, Prescott Park and other historic venues.

Walking through Market Square in the downtown area near the Music Hall, Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club and the Portsmouth Historical Society, you will find our third property, Hotel Thaxter. Here there are 15 rooms as well as our in-house restaurant, Nichinan, named for Portsmouth’s sister city in Japan.
